Amid growth of Evangelical Christian movements, support for Israel follows

John HageeAmid the growth of Evangelical Christian movements worldwide, the clout of pro-Israel Christian groups is increasing, including some from non-traditional places.

Today, Evangelical and Pentecostal Christian groups combine to number near 869 million globally, according to the Pew Research Center. This growth has been especially exceptional in the developing world such as in Latin America, where the percentage of Pentecostals has grown from 4.4 percent to 28 percent in 2005, or Africa, where they have grown from 5 percent to 17 percent of the population.

  1. Praise the Lord for the movement of Christians standing with Israel and the Jewish community! This movement of the Holy Spirit seems to contradict the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Feb. 20 anti-Israel lobbying campaign! How long do you think members will wonder if the Lord’s promise to Abraham has already come to fruition in the PCUSA: “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you (Genesis 12:2-3)? God bless the State of Israel, the Jewish community, Christians United for Israel and John Hagee! Western PA loves you all!
