November 2000 The Presbyterian Church (USA) has stood and continues to stand for the working of God’s grace in every believer’s life. While God graciously accepts each person as they are, He does not leave the Christian in hopeless mire. Through the working of the Holy Spirit we move away from our sins and into the image of Jesus Christ. This booklet is designed to assist the Presbyterian Church (USA) as we begin voting on Amendment O in the 173 presbyteries across our denomination. It is the work of many people, coming from a number of backgrounds and viewpoints. Within the diversity of our denomination, we continue to hold fast to the mandates of Scripture that marriage is for a man and a woman only. Although this has been challenged, we continue to believe that Presbyterians will make the right decision to support the Biblical view of sexuality. To that end, we offer this collection of resources.
