Baseball's troubled Darryl Strawberry, along with his Christian testimony, is back in the limelight. The 37-year-old slugger, in and out of the game because of a series of moral failings, has taken advantage of another chance to get his life and family in order. He slugged a home run Oct. 9 that helped the New York Yankees win the Division Series against the Texas Rangers.

The champagne that flowed during the Yankees' victory celebration was grape juice, because Strawberry is a recovering alcoholic.

Since last October, Strawberry has had colon cancer, pleaded no-contest after an arrest for cocaine possession and solicitation, and served a suspension from baseball. He reads the Bible often and doesn't let his failings deter him. "Just because you are a Christian, it doesn't mean you are not going to fall," he told USA Today. "Christians have storms in their lives. Mine just happen to be in the public eye." Strawberry and his wife have four children.
