Rhodes named vice-moderator By Paula R. Kincaid The Layman Online Wednesday, June 23, 1999 FORT WORTH Newly elected Moderator Freda Gardner named the Rev. Floyd Rhodes as vice-moderator of the 211th General Assembly on Sunday afternoon. Rhodes, a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, is an associate executive presbyter for ethnic and urban concerns in the Greater Atlanta Presbytery. Gardner was elected moderator Saturday night on a second ballot. Gardner received 270 votes, Frank Diaz, 166, Walter Ungerer, 69, and Charles W. Kim, 24.
