Prayer: The Great Adventure

David Jeremiah
(Sisters, Ore: Multnomah, 1997, 263 pp., $18.99)

Jeremiah observes that “Jesus does not want to goad us into praying as much as He desires to entice us into it!” His seven central chapters explore the Lord’s Prayer, which “is at the very heart of who God is and what He longs for His children to be.” Low key but insightful, with brief personal prayers sprinkled throughout, this book is a non-threatening invitation for Christians to embark on the great adventure of prayer.
