The Trinity matters

“The church has consistently confessed God as the Father who sends the Son for us and our salvation, in the power of the Holy Spirit. … Trinity is our very understanding of God.”

Such statements, from a proposed study of the Trinity, rightly recognize that we do not imagine, let alone re-imagine, God. Rather, God’s self-revelation grounds our theology and our worship. We commend the denomination’s Office of Theology and Worship for this boldly orthodox statement and pray that the study of the Trinity is built on this foundation.
