The Presbyterian Layman – July/August 2000
Volume 33, Number 4 – Posted August 4, 2000

You deserve full disclosure

In recent years, the Presbyterian Church (USA) has ensured that the business and work of the denomination and its ministries would be conducted openly. But now there’s a loophole that allows non-business (vaguely defined) segments to be conducted secretly. This will make the reporting job of The Presbyterian Layman and other publications more difficult – but not impossible. We’ll do our best to determine how what is said behind closed doors might openly affect the decisions and ministries of our denomination. Our readers deserve nothing less than full disclosure.
