This anthology draws from more than 50 years of John Leith’s sermons, chapel meditations, addresses, editorials and other occasional writings in which he considers timely issues with a clarity of insight that remains rewarding today. Resisting superficial analyses and simplistic solutions, Leith mines the riches of Reformed theology, particularly the writings of John Calvin, and unfailingly shows its contemporary relevance.

Those unfamiliar with Leith’s more academic works will find this collection an inviting introduction. Those who long have benefited from Leith’s ministry as pastor and professor, world-renowned scholar and congregational theologian-in-residence, mentor and friend will find still more to cherish in these gems.
