Adams The Layman Volume 34, Number 7 Posted November 30, 2001 The first 1,000 Confessing Church congregations will receive a free copy of Truth and Grace Songs of a Confessing Church as a gift of encouragement from First Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge, La., and its second site-complex, River Community Church, near Baton Rouge. Truth and Grace Songs of a Confessing Church is described as a a declaration of faith, through songs of praise and adoration, reflecting basic tenets of the Confessing Church Movement. The CD is comprised of music that will inspire people to stand strong in your faith, live a life of holiness and to boldly confess the sovereignty and lordship of the one true God, whom alone we worship and serve. Truth and Grace Songs of a Confessing Church is performed by the worship teams and congregations of First Presbyterian Church and River Community Church and contains 14 songs of worship and praise. Additional copies of Truth and Grace Songs of a Confessing Church may be purchased for $15 each. Please mail a check, made payable to First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge, to Truth and Grace, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 763 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, La. 70802. The release date is scheduled for Dec. 10. Proceeds will go to OneByOne, a national ministry to educate and equip the church to minister to those who struggle with issues of sexual identity. |
