Other amendments Amendment A is not the only constitutional issue on the ballot for the presbyteries in the Presbyterian Church (USA). The others include Amendment 01-H, which would give certified Christian educators – such as directors of Christian education – voice and vote at presbyteries if they are also ordained elders. The amendment would further increase the voice of church professionals in governance and polity. Another proposal, Amendment 01-B, would institutionalize the term “bishop” for pastors of local congregations. All seven issues are important. Read The Layman’s synopsis.
