The Senior High Youth Group at First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg, Wisc. – which in June became the first youth group in the nation to endorse the Confessing Church Movement within the Presbyterian Church (USA) – has formed a new youth-led renewal organization called Youth for the Truth.

Its purpose, according to information provided by the group, is to help young people within the denomination “stand up for God’s Truth in their churches, school and communities. Keying off of 1 Timothy 4:12, we believe that it is vital for young people to join the battle for God’s Truth. Young people can have an impact on the direction of our denomination and we are excited and humbled that God has raised this organization for this purpose.”

In just its first month, groups representing more than 300 youths in nine different states have joined Youth for the Truth. In addition, four individuals, three from Colorado and one from Illinois, also have joined the group.
